Job Title: Behavioral Health Professional (BHP)

 

Job Description:

The Courageous Steps Project seeks compassionate and dedicated behavioral health professionals (BHPs) for a gratifying role. You will support and aid children and young adults with various abilities and challenges in their homes and surrounding communities, making a significant difference in their lives. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients, families, and other professionals to develop individualized treatment plans focused on skill-building and intervention strategies.

  • Provide direct support and intervention to clients within their homes and surrounding communities, working closely with them to improve social, emotional, and behavioral skills.

  • Document client progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to provide coordinated care.

 

Pay Transparency:

At Courageous Steps, we value transparency and respect for our employees. We are open about our wages, which start at $16.48/hr without BHP certification and increase with BHP certification and years of experience. The current maximum hourly salary for this position is $24.72/hr, reflecting our recognition of your skills and dedication.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 18 years or older

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Reliable transportation

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively, within a multidisciplinary team.

  • Ability to obtain Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) Certification within one year of hire 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) Certification 

  • Prior experience working with children and young adults with diverse abilities and challenges.

  • Strong knowledge of behavioral health interventions, strategies, and assessments.
